A new landlord registry proposal will come before Springfield’s next City Council meeting.
Alders on Tuesday declined to place the registry on next week’s consent agenda, because of concerns over whether the planned ordinance goes far enough.
Under the current proposal, only building managers found to violate city code would be required to register.
