WMAY’s Patrick Pfingsten reports in his The Illinoize newsletter Illinois Republican Party Chair Kathy Salvi has told some members of the GOP’s State Central Committee that she plans to resign her post shortly after the Illinois State Fair.
Salvi took over as chair shortly before last year’s Illinois State Fair, replacing Don Tracy, who resigned after repeated battles with the central committee.
No replacement has emerged.
