Governor JB Pritzker has signed a package of bills aimed to protect Illinois workers and support organized labor.
Pritzker signed the bills at the Illinois AFL-CIO headquarters in front of labor leaders and union members.
At the signing Pritzker said “ Our state stands up for the hard-won advances made for our workers. This legislation protects Illinois workers from the Trump administration’s assault on labor, because our workers can’t afford to be subject to the whims of corruption and chaos in Washington. Today, we continue our progress to make Illinois the best state in the nation to live, work and raise a family.”
