A Jacksonville area funeral director died on Saturday after he was thrown from a mower he was operating near White Hall.
Greene County Coroner Brady Milnes said 53-year-old Colby Brooks was pronounced dead at 1:40 Saturday afternoon. First responders were called before 1 o’clock after the mower rolled on top of Brooks into a creek.
The coroner said preliminary findings indicated Brooks died from traumatic asphyxiation.
