A Springfield man has been charged with aggravated battery as well as domestic battery after a stabbing incident early last Friday morning in Springfield.
According to authorities 42-year-old Joel L. Bennett stabbed a woman at her residence of 808 S 23rd St in the early hours of Friday morning August 15th.
Bennet initially denied the claim but officers found an orange and black pocket knife on Bennett with blood on the handle and blade. Bennet was then arrested and taken into custody.
