Testimony concluded Monday in Logan County jury in the trial of a woman accused of fatally beating the 19-month-old daughter of her boyfriend.
Cierra Coker is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery to a child. A jury briefly began deliberations late Monday afternoon before resuming this morning.
Prosecutors said Coker was responsible for injuries that led to the death of Sophia Davis in 2022. Defense attorneys argued the girl suffered from several illnesses and her death was due to natural causes.
