Decatur will need to find a new City Manager as current City Manager Tim Gleason has formally submitted his resignation, effective no later than October 31st, 2025.
Gleason was called back into the role back in May of 2024.
In his announcement Gleason said “ I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the City of Decatur once again. This community means a great deal to me. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together—both the projects you can see and many you can’t. I leave knowing the city is in a stronger position and well-prepared for what’s next.”
