Sangamon County Clerk Don Gray has announced he is running for a third term in the office. Gray made the announcement on Tuesday on social media.
Gray is a Republican from Springfield. His announcement highlighted his efforts to maintain secure and accurate elections, and expand access to vital records with mobile office hours and online services.
The county clerk’s office will absorb the county recorder’s duties beginning with the new term in December 2026.
