State Senator Doris Turner says reducing Illinois’ budget deficit is not easy, despite Democrats holding a super majority in the legislature and the Governor’s office.
The Springfield Democrat told WMAY’s AM Springfield that the super-majority caucus is diverse.
State officials project a 200-million-dollar deficit in the current fiscal year and a two-billion-dollar deficit in fiscal year 2027.
