Paul McCartney Apparently Sent Baby Poo To Music Journalist After Bad Review

By Erik Thompson Nov 5, 2025 | 6:01 PM

Paul McCartney once sent baby poo to a deceitful music journalist who falsely reviewed a Wings concert he never attended, as revealed by drummer Denny Seiwell in the new oral history book, Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run. The journalist had claimed he was only writing about the band’s family life on tour, but later published a scathing review critiquing their live performance even though he flew home before the show. To retaliate, Seiwell claims that, “Paul and Linda took one of those little plastic soap dishes from the hotel we were in and they got one of Stella’s turds, put it in the soap dish, wrapped it up and sent it to him.” Seiwell called the shocking gesture a “perfect response to a crude British pressman.” The book, which was published on Tuesday (November 4), includes many anecdotes, photos, and contributions from the band and their circle, and coincides with the upcoming release of a Wings music anthology personally overseen by McCartney.
