The mother and daughter killed in a crash on Interstate 55 and 72 in Springfield on Monday morning have been identified.
Authorities said 37-year-old Jennifer Damm of Riverton and her eight-year-old daughter Kendyn Damm were pronounced dead at the scene.
Illinois State Police said the vehicle crashed into the rear of a semi-tractor-trailer while southbound near Sixth Street.
