Republican candidate for governor Darren Bailey is modeling his “Blueprint for Illinois” on the Department of Government Efficiency implemented by President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Bailey announced the plan on Thursday in front of the governor’s office at the Illinois State Capitol along with his running mate, Aaron Del Mar.
Bailey said his plan would uncover wasteful state spending but would not include mass layoffs of state workers.
