Initial filings for unemployment benefits in Illinois dropped last week compared to a week earlier according to the U.S. Department of Labor on Thursday.
New jobless claims last week fell to nearly 72-hundred from more than 96-hundred in the previous week.
Claims nationwide dropped by about 23-thousand to 206-thousand new unemployment claims.
