Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon has confirmed the death of 86-year-old Lillie Prindle.
On November 6, 2025 Coroner Allmon responded to Ms. Prindle’s address in Springfield at the request of the Springfield Police Department.
The family of Ms. Prindle had requested a well check be performed by Adult Protective Services and the Springfield Police Department.
Once officers made entry to the residence they discovered an adult female deceased in the home.
Although the remains were in an advanced state of decomposition, the Coroner was able to positively identify the remains as those of Lillie Prindle.
The cause and manner of death is listed as undetermined at this time. The death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Springfield Police Department.
