A former Ball-Chatham Schools employee is charged with aggravated battery after allegedly spraying students with a cleaning solution last month.
Court documents entered this week indicate 62-year-old Susan Perko was charged on February 20.
Newschannel 20 reports investigators reviewing surveillance video saw Perko enter a cafeteria at Glenwood Elementary School with a bottle and spraying a group of students with a substance later determined to be a cleaning solution.
Perko resigned last week. The district said it was cooperating with the criminal investigation and would not comment further since it was a personnel matter.
