A teenager in Springfield is facing felony charges after Springfield Police said he illegally had two guns — one stolen — with him when he tried to flee from officers, crashing into a squad car in the process.

The incident in question took place early Sunday morning near Blueprint Bar and Grill.

18-Year-Old Jevontae McCann is facing two counts of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon and one of causing criminal damage to government-supported property.

McCann was granted pretrial release with conditions. McCann is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on April 9th.
