A veteran of nearly 20 years with Leland Grove Police has been named the department’s new chief.
Kenton Oliver was sworn in last week after receiving unanimous approval from the city council.
Oliver replaces Dan Ryan, who was placed on administrative leave on February 5th and fired retroactive to February 24th following his arrest for driving under the influence and domestic battery.
Ryan’s next court appearance on the DUI charge is scheduled for June 8. The domestic battery charge was dropped.
