Tuesday’s Springfield City Council meeting ended abruptly during the public comment period after former police chief Mike Walton blasted some alders for criticizing police over a physical arrest of a 19-year-old woman last month.
Ward 6 Alderwoman Jennifer Notariano fired back, and Walton’s response drew an explosive response from Ward 2 Alderman Shawn Gregory.
The meeting was quickly adjourned
