Illinois State Police have arrested two local men for allegedly possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials in separate cases.
Illinois State Police on Wednesday said 48-year-old James Barnard was arrested after investigators received a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
ISP special agents arrested Barnard last week after a search of his home.
Taylorville Police said 50-year-old Brian Grove of Taylorville was arrested on Thursday following an investigation that began in late March. Police said Grove is a former Secretary of State Police officer.
