Springfield Mayor Misty Buscher says metal detectors at Springfield city offices are for everyone’s safety, including hers as she has received threats during her tenure.
Buscher told Sam Madonia on WMAY’s AM Springfield that threats against public officials everywhere have increased.
Buscher said she hopes decorum in council chambers improves, and signs listing expectations are found outside the chambers.
