A nationally recognized physician in emergency medicine has been selected as the next provost and dean of SIU School of Medicine.
Dr. Ian Martin will also serve as CEO of the school’s faculty practice, SIU Medicine.
Martin currently serves in leadership at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
He has served as president of two emergency medicine associations.
Martin succeeds Dr. Jerry Kruse, who is retiring this summer after 43 years with SIU School of Medicine, including the last 10 years as provost and dean.
