A 19-year-old motorcyclist was cited for DUI on Saturday night.
According to police reports Illinois State Police troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6th Street, just north of Hazel Dell Road, around 8:05 p.m. Upon arrival troopers learned that a motorcycle rear-ended a minivan. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle was a 19-year-old male who was not only cited for DUI but also failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
