U.S. News and World Report has ranked Glenwood High School as the best high school in the Springfield metro area.
The school reported ranking 89th out of 675 high schools in Illinois, up 16 places from last year.
Glenwood’s highest rankings were in state assessment proficiency and college curriculum.
