Governor JB Pritzker and First Lady MK Pritzker purchased the Grand Champion Steer for the seventh consecutive year during Wednesday’s Sale of Champions at the Illinois State Fair.
McKlay Gensini of Putnam County showed the winning steer.
The Pritzkers purchased the steer for $105,000.
The steer will be donated to Feeding Illinois for distribution to food banks.
