Over the weekend, the Grammys released a list of performers for this year’s ceremony. BRUNO MARS wasn’t on it . . . but he wants to be. Bruno and ANDERSON .PAAK have started a campaign to get their new group SILK SONIC a performance slot during the show.
On social media, Bruno said, quote, “Dear Grammys: If you can see it in your hearts to allow two out-of-work musicians to perform at your show, we would really appreciate it. We just released a song, and could really use the promotion.”
He said they’d follow all safety protocols, and even joked that they’re willing to audition for the spot. There’s no indication that the campaign is working . . . yet.
