Are you embarrassed of your favorite adult beverage? Maybe even enough to not order it while out in public?
Half of all drinkers felt “embarrassed” to order their favorite in public, according a survey. Break it down drink category that’s 49% of beer drinkers, 18% of cocktail drinkers and 13% of mixed drink fans. While half felt embarrassed by their choices, the bartenders opinion of said choice no effect on what they get.
As far as the “go-to” drinks, beer lead the categories (25%). Wine (23%) and mixed drinks (23%) followed up closely. Most have been ordering their “go-to” for the last five years. Over half (60%) feel their “go-to” is “awesome” and more people should be ordering it. 40% said the pandemic has helped them to change their preferences though.
Back to that whole feeling embarrassed thing. If you like fruity drinks — order them up! Most people who prefer fruity drinks consider themselves to be ‘more fun’ and ‘carefree’ as opposed to ‘serious’ or ‘driven.’ So, you’re the life of the party.
