People are cooking Cicadas

It’s been 17 years since the last Cicada invasion and this time around — people are cooking them! No joke! Chefs use insects as a source of protein, so the theory is why not use Cicadas since there are so many of them.

Apparently, Cicadas taste great in potato leek soup or with fried rice. Cicada cookie recipes are making their rounds.
