When it comes to drinking, America has the fourth highest alcohol dependence rate in the world. This is according to a new report by the Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development.
In the report Americans consume an average of 2.1 bottles of wine or 4 pints of beer a week – that’s the equivalent of 109 bottles of wine or 366 pints of beers a year.
While America ranked 21st of wealthy nations in alcohol consumption, we were 4th in terms of dependency. 7.7 of Americans have been diagnosed as dependent.
