Just a few days after playing the song live for the first time in Boston, GN’R give us the studio version… and not soon enough. Since that performance some really bad cellphone footage had been circulating around that did the song no justice.
‘Absurd’ has been around since 2001, then titled ‘Silkworms.’ The group’s performed is it a couple of times in its original form but the track didn’t make the cut for 2008’s Chinese Democracy.
This new version is the first GN’R song to feature Slash and Duff McKagan in the band since 1994.
