Band t-shirts. Many people own and wear them regularly. Doesn’t matter if you buy them at a store or while checking out said band in concert. Rush Order Tees did a survey of over 1,000 band tee owners to see what the shirts meant to them, what led the person to buy them, and more.
The big takeaways from the survey? Punk fans spent the most on their tee collection at an average of $597. But Heavy Metal fans had the most tees in their collection with an average of 17.
When it comes to seeing someone wearing a shirt – how much of fan should you be in order to wear it? (You know, because Ramones and Nirvana shirts are trendy.) The survey respondents think you need to know at least 10 songs by a band before you can wear the shirt.
In concert, shirt can be pretty expensive. Some shows a shirt can be as cheap as $20 and go as high as $50. The respondents would be willing spend up to $51 for a tee.
