MEDICAL FACILITIES
- HSHS: Non-essential events canceled, no visitor policy.
- Memorial Health Systems: no visitor policy.
- SIU Medicine: elective procedures and non-urgent surgical cases are postponed until further notice.
- Springfield Clinic: Springfield Clinic will remain open for patients unless contacted by a physician’s office. Drive-up labs for routine lab work are available at two Springfield Clinic locations.

Temporarily Closed Until Further Notice. Updates HERE - The Sangamon Mass Transit District is suspending fixed routes to Chatham, Riverton, Rochester and Sherman due to low ridership, effective Monday. People in those areas who need transporation may still schedule rides through SMTD’s Access Paratransit office at 522-8594.
EVENTS
The Sangamon County Department of Public Health is limiting the number of people at events. Indoor & Outdoor events are limited to 250 people or less.

SCHOOLS
- District 186 is increasing efforts to ensure academic continuity and access to home-based, remote learning opportunities, distributing devices to students who do not have one at home. Each school has a designated day and pickup time HERE

- U of I: Moving classes online for Urbana-Champaign, Springfield, and Chicago campuses
- University of Illinois extends spring break until March 23
- EIU extends spring break until March 29, moves classes online
- MacMurray College to extend spring break due to coronavirus to March 23
- Lake Land College extends its spring break to March 23
- Danville Area Community College extends its spring break to March 30
- Lincoln Land Community College extends spring break to March 23, will have online classes afterward

STATE OF ILLINOIS
- The State of Illinois has dedicated a comprehensive website with county-by-county updates: coronavirus.illinois.gov
- Anyone wishing to enter the Sangamon County Building will be screened under a new county policy, with anyone with a temperature of over 100 degrees will be refused entry. Several offices are closed to the public, including county clerk, recorder, regional superintendent of schools, treasurer, child advocacy, community resources, veterans assistance, workforce training, regional planning and zoning. Those offices are still providing services. Other offices are open on a limited bases while several are operating as normal. Before traveling to a county office, members of the public should call first or check the county website
- Sangamon County Courts of the 7th Judicial Circuit will be operating at reduced capacity.
