My teacher is actually my daughter Megan Rhodes. I was so lucky to have had a chance to work with her in Taylorville at the Junior High. My daughter decided to work with students with disabilities. Megan has a natural talent in working with people of all ages. Students give her all the have to accomplish their tasks. She is her students voice and advocate. She always wants what is best for them and strives to make sure her students learn not just any skill but lifelong skills to be successful in the work force. I may not have been her student but admire her relationships and rapport she has developed with her students and coworkers. Students smile when Mrs. Rhodes enters the room. This year Megan is working with preschool students with disabilities and is training a puppy for emotional support for students. She coaches varsity softball at the high school and spends weekend hours working trying to develop her program by working with future athletes. She also volunteers her time to help her old mom coach junior high volleyball. I do say we have a good time and have good teams. Thank you for your consideration.
