Mrs.Burris is the kind of teacher you want your child to have. She’s compassionate, knowledgable, patient, and makes learning fun. I’ve volunteered for her class for several years and it’s truly inspiring to watch her grow where God has placed her. She goes above and beyond to teach students and has done an exceptional job transitioning from all in person to hybrid to remote. Anyone who knows Mrs. Burris knows how passionate she is about her job and her students. Even if she doesn’t receive this award, her students will still be rewarded by having a teacher like her!
