Mini O'Beirne Crisis Nursery Community Blood Drive

Mini O’Beirne Crisis Nursery will host a Community Blood Drive from Monday, May 12 thru Sunday, May 18 at ImpactLife Donor Center 1999 Wabash Ave (The Wabash Building) If you are able, please bring them a birthday gift to the Donor Center-they are celebrating 36 years. The most needed items are: Diapers, Infant Formula-any kind, Baby Wipes, Lysol Spray & wipes, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Children’s Clothing Newborn to Kids XL & Non-Perishable Food items as they make all their own meals at the Crisis Nursery. Times vary each day-Mon/Tues 8-5, Wed 8-5:30, Thurs 7-5:30, Fri 7-3, Sat 7-1:30 Sun 7-11. Appointments are NOT REQUIRED, however if you would like to secure a particular time slot, please call ImpactLife at 800-747-5401. Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors. ImpactLife is the provider of blood and blood components to more than 100 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin.
