Chicago officer sentenced to 7-plus years for bogus raids

CHICAGO — A Chicago police sergeant convicted of using bogus search warrants to raid homes and steal cash and drugs was sentenced Friday to seven years and three months in federal prison.Prosecutors had sought a 10-year prison sentence for Xavier Elizondo.
