Forget 15 or 18 percent…the very posh ‘New York Magazine’ now suggests tipping at least 50 PERCENT at restaurants!
The ‘Grub Street’ article about ‘Pandemic Etiquette’ suggests tipping a minimum of half of your total bill to help keep restaurant workers fed. It even suggests going as high as 75 or a hundred percent. And while a lot of readers are sympathetic to hard-working restaurant staff, a lot of people are calling out the magazine for being completely out of touch.
