Freeport man identified as Sunday shooting victim

FREEPORT — Laterryon C. Brumfield, 23, of Freeport has been identified by Freeport police as the man who died early Sunday after gunfire broke out in the 900 block of South Carroll Avenue.Five others also were shot and at least one person was hospitalized.
