Five people have been arrested in connection to the murder of rapper Pop Smoke. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources said that the LAPD served multiple search warrants around Los Angeles yesterday morning (July 9th). As a result, three adults and two juveniles were arrested. No word on what the suspects were charged with but they were interviewed by police and then booked.
Pop Smoke was shot and killed by four masked gunmen back in February at a rental home in the Hollywood Hills.

Meanwhile, the LA Times has reported that the perpetrators that shot and killed Pop Smoke didn't know him — they only targeted him after he inadvertently posted his address online. It is believed that the crime started out as a home invasion robbery that turned deadly. LAPD Captain John Tippet said yesterday (July 9th), “We are confident we have the five individuals responsible for the killing of Bashar Jackson — Pop Smoke.”
The arrests come a week after the release of Pop Smoke's debut album “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon.”
