DJ Khaled Teases New Collaboration With Drake

By Music News Jul 13, 2020 | 7:00 PM

DJ Khaled and Drake shared on social media that Drake’s vocals have been submitted for an upcoming track, and teased the collab by posting a video of DJ Khaled alongside a real-life owl, which serves as the logo for Drake’s OVO Sound record label.

Another video he posted shows an owl peering at the ocean with a beverage and pair of golden skeleton keys sitting at its feet. Both posts tag Drake’s Instagram account and include the hashtags #WETHEBEST and #OVO.

The producer took to Twitter to share that the tracks will arrive on Friday. “2 KEYS. 2 ANTHEMS. 2 DJ KHALED FEAT. DRAKE. THIS FRIDAY,” he tweeted.

He continued: “THURSDAY 12 MIDNIGHT. EACH key emoji LEADS TO THE NEXT 🔑. ALBUM MODE 🔑. #WETHEBESTOVO SO YOU KNOW @WeTheBestMusic

The upcoming record – which will likely be dedicated to DJ Khaled’s sons, as he listed them as “executive producers” – is set to follow his Bad Boys For Life soundtrack.

Khaled took to the jungle to drop another tease on Monday. He locks eyes with an owl and gives it a salute before staring ominously at the camera as the words “2 Keys 2 Anthems DJ Khaled Feat. Drake This Friday” fill the screen.

At press time, the titles of the songs had not been announced.

Khaled wrote in a message about the songs: “through these new times dark times, and this new norm we must find the light! I will bring the light, the love and more blessings!”
