GOP taps Schackmann for Sangamon County board seat

James Schackmann has been named the GOP candidate for the District 11 seat on the Sangamon County Board in the Nov. 3 election.In addition to being named to the ballot by precinct committeemen Monday, Sangamon County Board Chairman Andy Van Meter nominated Schackmann, 37, to replace Mike Sullivan on the board.
