Scotty McCreery paid a social media tribute to a close friend of his who was recently killed in a car accident on Tuesday (July 21st). He sang a rendition of Vince Gill's “Go Rest High On That Mountain” for Yameer Greene, 26, who he remembers as “one of the kindest and brightest souls I've ever met.”
According a reports, Greene was hid head-on when another car crossed a barrier on I-87 in Raleigh. The driver and passenger of that car were also killed.
McCreery and Greene attended Garner Magnet High School together.
