Dozens of new virus cases reported in dorm-style unit at Jacksonville prison

Morgan County officials Wednesday reported 46 new COVID-19 cases, including 43 among inmates at the Jacksonville Correctional Center.Lindsey Hess, spokeswoman for the Illinois Department of Corrections, said while there may be some lag in data from the county to the department, there were at least 183 confirmed cases among offenders there, with 73 recovered.
