Springfield’s 11th homicide victim identified

A man who was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds Friday morning has been identified as Daudoe Davis, 21, of Springfield.Springfield police were called to the 2000 block of East Converse Street at 10:44 a.m., where they found Davis, who was pronounced dead at the scene.The preliminary results of an autopsy conducted Saturday morning found that Davis died from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso, according to Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon.
