Robbery suspect who crashed vehicle apprehended by SPD officers

A man who reportedly attempted to rob the Hy-Vee store, 2115 S. MacArthur Blvd., crashed a vehicle into a house near Outer Park Drive and Cherry Hills Drive Tuesday.Springfield Police officers were able to locate the suspect in the vicinity just after 10 a.m.It was unclear if the vehicle belonged to the suspect.An investigation is continuing and charges are pending.This story will be updated.
