A guy in Alberta, Canada had a bit too much time on his hand and recreate the Griswold house light display from ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.’ And we’re talking THE WHOLE THING!
It took him 16 hours a day to put up more than 40,000 lights. He got every details from the movie down — including Cousin Eddie’s RV parked in the driveway.
His neighbors supposedly don’t mind the display, for now. It is certainly attracting worldwide attention. No word on if he will leave it up year round or attempt to take it down after Christmas. All we know is we don’t want to see what is electric bill is like next month.
