A woman had an interesting encounter when she went to use an outhouse in Alaska. Sure, we’ve heard stories of snakes in toilets BUT A BEAR?!
Shannon Stevens went with her brother and his girlfriend to a remote location at Chilkat Lake, Alaska. She went to use the outhouse, sat down on the seat, and almost immediately felt a bite.
Shannon’s brother went to check out what could have caused the bite, he found a bear. Talking with radio station KTOO:
Right at the level of the toilet seat, maybe an inch or two below, is a gigantic bear face looking right back up at me.
He closed the lid and ran (smart guy!). Thankfully Shannon was not seriously injured. The group stayed at their location the rest of the night. The bear was gone the following morning.
