Zayn said in a new interview that even if he was nominated for a Grammy at some point, he wouldn’t go to the ceremony.
The former One Direction singer elaborated on his anti-Recording Academy tweets on SiriusXM’s Debatable Wednesday saying, “Even if they nominated me at this stage, I wouldn’t even go and accept the award because it doesn’t mean anything to me. The entire organization doesn’t represent anything, and I don’t believe it showcases the best talent in the industry. I believe that they control what they want to control and they do what they want to do.”
He also revealed that his favorite former bandmate is Niall Horan, admitting, “Yeah, he makes better music than me. I’m a Niall fan.”
