We’ve got cows! Disaster thriller ‘Twister’ turns 25

Today, May 10, marks the 25th anniversary of the film TWISTER. The 1996 epic disaster adventure flick starred Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt.

The film would go on to become the second-highest-grossing film of 1996, behind Independence Day, grossing $495 million worldwide. It received Academy Award nominations for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound, however not winning either.

The soundtrack featured Van Halen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Goo Goo Dolls, Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham, along with Soul Asylum, Tori Amos, and Shania Twain.
