CHARLES BARKLEY seriously shelled out for his alma mater, the Leeds City School District in Alabama.

First, he donated laptops and WiFi hotspots for kids learning at home.  Then he gave every employee IN THE DISTRICT $1,000.  That’s 226 employees . . . so, $226,000.

Charles has also donated $3 million in scholarship money to Leeds graduates over the years, and he continues to support the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams.

The school says, quote, “We are beyond thankful to know our hometown hero and benefactor, Charles Barkley, recognizes the hard work and dedication of the Leeds staff, even under the toughest of circumstances.  Thank you, Charles!”
