The Fourth of July is coming up . . . when we’ll show how patriotic we are by blowing stuff up, and maybe losing a finger. But I guess you could measure it this way too . . .
An annual study ranks the most patriotic states in America by looking at 13 different factors, like voting rates . . . how many veterans and active members of the military there are . . . and how many people volunteer for things like AmeriCorps.
One state jumped WAY up the list this time to take the top spot: MONTANA is number one after placing 12th a year ago.
The ten most patriotic states in 2021 are: Montana . . . Alaska . . . Maryland . . . Vermont . . . New Hampshire . . . North Dakota . . . Wyoming . . . Minnesota . . . Oregon . . . and Virginia.
New York ranked last this year, followed by Florida, Connecticut, Michigan, and California.
